Programs and Parties

Preston has been excited about his very 1st Program! The PreK had a big breakfast for the parents this morning before the program.

It was hard to see him because of the child's "reindeer ears" in front of him. He wasn't really into the singing as much as the other kids were :(

My little Reindeer lol

Kayla's Class Christmas Party was an excellent turn out! Everyone brought what they said they were going to bring. :)

All about HUGS!

ROCK STAR PARTY

We were planning on going to a friend of ours 25th Rock Star Birthday Party but had a slight change in plans due to Preston's accident. We stayed in town and since we were already dressed in costume we went out to the club dressed as is. HAHA We had so many strange looks, it was hilarious. We had fun though just getting out for a bit.

Trip to the ER

I had to rush Preston to the hospital due to a busted chin! I was in the front bathroom windexing the mirror and I heard a loud scream. Preston and Kayla were both in the recliner and when Preston was trying to get down, the recliner turned and he fell and busted his chin on the coffee table. (The kids story). At first I thought it was nothing major because Preston only cried for a minute and wanted to play. Kayla was very disturbed by the blood. I grabbed a wet rag and held it there for a sec. Preston asked if he could have a bandaid and when I removed the rag is when I noticed that the skin was cut. When we arrived at the ER< he was so excited to get on the hospital bed. When the Nurse came in he said that he was going to poot on her. I was soooo embarrassed but, she told him that she was going to bring her dog to the hospital and he was going to poot on him. Preston laughed sooo hard and told the Nurse, Well I have a dog too and I will bring her up to the hospital to poot on your dog.

As you can see, Preston was acting like nothing even happened. He was very hyper and having a blast.

The cut is right below his chin which is a good thing as far as visibility. Chris has a scar in almost the same place.

They used a purple glue to seal it and butterfly bandages. Preston was very brave and was very still while the Nurse was taking care of him.

Kayla's Award Program

Out of 11 Kindergarden classes,1 student from each class was chosen for the Reading Rocket Award and Kayla was chosen for her class!!! I am so proud of her. She was very shy when they called her name and walked slowly to the woman handing out the awards. With this award, she was pulled out of her class to attend a trip to Dyersburg State Community College with the other 10 students. When we were on our way home from the program, Kayla told me that she loved me so much because I am the one that taught her how to read!! :)

Breakfast with Santa

Kayla liked the Lady Elf more than Santa :)

Christmas Decorating

We decided this year to get a real Christmas Tree! We have always had an artificial tree so we are excited this year to try something new. Chris's oldest son Cody came by to help put the lights on the house. Kayla and Preston enjoyed putting all the ornaments on the tree. We are just using gold and red ornaments this year with white lights. Next time I get out though, I am going to look at the Angels..I think it would look better.

Stepkids

Brooklyn and Dakota (DJ) came to visit us. :) I was still in Collierville when they arrived. Chris took them to Perkins for breakfast and when I got back in town with Kayla and Preston we went to Grecians for lunch. We took them to Walmart to pick out their birthday gifts in which they both chose a cell phone. Later in the day we took them to Brian's daughter Kendall's 6th birthday party! We all had a lot of fun.

Christmas Parade 2009

Unfortunately, Chris had to work late so I took the kids to the parade myself. We hung out with my friends Dana and Jacob.girls Destiny and Anna. Kayla and Preston were super excited and Preston danced most of the time. We were pretty bundles and plus Dana had brought us all some hot chocolate.
