Family PJ Storytime

Kayla's school had a Family P.J. Storytime! It was so much fun. Everyone was divided into groups: Santas, Christmas Trees, or Gingerbread Men. Kayla and Preston were excited to be in the Santa group. Each group went into a different room to listen to a story. They rotated 3 times and then we all met in the cafeteria for milk and cookies. After our snack we all gathered in the gym and they read , A Night Before Christmas to everyone! In the picture of Kayla raising her hand, she is waiting to tell the police officer what she wants for Christmas.

My Exciting Weekend

On Friday, Kayla and I came down to Collierville. As always she talked the majority of the trip. I dropped her off at my parents house and then headed to meet my best friends from Collierville High School. We all gathered at Gaspo's house.( Mary Ann's Italian Stallion) haha The 1st thing brought up was one of our group pictures taken in High School. Everyone laughed and laughed at Nicci's hair. We went to Bahama Breeze for dinner and had a blast talking about memories and what everyone is doing now. Afterwards we went to TJ Mulligans in which it seemed like we were the youngest people there. Hah Watching older people dance was hilarious.

On Saturday, my mom took Kayla and me shopping at Kohls for Christmas gifts. Afterwards, we went to McDonald in which my mom ran into an old teacher friend, and I ran into Mayor Kerley ( I dated her son Kevin in High School). Later, we went to Bellevue Baptist Church to see The Singing Christmas Tree. Melody was stuck in traffic , but made it kinda in the middle. We were in the 5th row, right by the orchestra and it was amazing. I really enjoyed watching Kayla's face when they threw the snowballs, confetti, streamers, or fireworks. Her most noticed expression was when the angels were flying. Her jaw dropped and her head followed them across the stage. After the performance, we went to Germantown to look at a couple of my mom's students decorated houses. Then we all headed home and ordered pizza with cheese crust. LOL I'll explain that story when I have more time.

On Sunday I woke up to the news that Kayla had been sick all night because of the pizza. She felt better after taking a jacuzzi. We went to Arlington to my dad's band concert. It brought back some memories. Kayla was a little wiggly, so I gave her a pen to draw on the program. When the band played Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Kayla looked up with excitement and jaw dropped. LoL

Movie Review

Wanted- This movie was awesome! It was full of action and  the plot of the story was catching.

Kung Fu Panda- The first time I watched this movie I was not really into it. But, since Chris enjoyed watching it over and over again I had not choice but to watch it with him and then kind of got use to it and began to laugh. It does have some funny parts. My favorite was when the turtle went around blowing the candles out one by one haha.

Wall-e - This movie didn't really get my attention either. It took me a couple of times to watch it. Let's just say I caught the middle part, then the end, and went back and watched the beginning. The only part I remember to tell you about is the plant, lighter, and the fat guy in the space ship.

Sleeping Beauty- I remember this movie from when I was younger but it was never one of my favorites. Now that I watch it almost 20 years later it is not that interesting. Mostly music and very few words. It is also hard to explain to a young child why a girl fell asleep after pricking her finger. Kayla loves it though and all she can talk about is Sleeping Beauty. Last month it was Tinkerbell and the month before that Ariel. Haha

College- This movie was sooooo funny. But watch it when the kids are asleep. I thought it was hilarious that "Chicken Little" from American Idol was one of the main actors. Haha

Step Brothers- Now my older sister Amy warned me that there was a lot of curse words in the movie but I rented it anyways. I thought this movie was HILARIOUS! It is going to my top list with Dumb and Dumber! OMG I laughed soo hard that my stomach was tight and I could barely hear myself laugh anymore. The part when they were sleep walking was super funny. Haha I am laughing while I type this. The whole movie was great and I recommend it just ignore the dirty words. And he said Don't touch his drum set!

Fred Claus- I thought this movie was going to be a lot more than it was. It was neat to watch Dr. Merrill Bobolit  from Nip/Tuck play Santa Claus. Naming the dog Macaroni was cute haha It was a good movie, I just expected more from Vince Vaughn.

Untraceable- This was a very hard movie to watch. It is a very good mystery and kept my attention for sure. Just thinking about a website that the more people log on the faster the person dies is awful and I am glad this is just a movie.

Joy Ride 2- Goldilocks! Ah 1st it was Candy cane and now this! That dude's voice just creeps me out! This movie had a lot of twists in it and I loved that. I had never heard of the actors before but they ended up being pretty good. This movie was also hard to watch  because there is a lot of killing and beating.

Definitely, Maybe- I have been wanting to see this movie for a long time and I finally rented it. I used to watch Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place in High School and the main actor is from that show. This movie made me cry! It is a very awesome movie told in story form from a dad to daughter. Chris even cried during this movie.

Cleaner- This movie was very interesting but Chris figured it out in the middle and decided to share his thought. Uhhhhh I hate that!!! haha It was very bloody but keeps you watching and is put together well.

Christmas Parade

The kids convinced Chris to put up lights and decorate the yard! Well kind of haha. One Santa is all the kids wanted. They have gone up to him several times and told him what they wanted for Christmas and they even say good night to him. The kids had a blast decorating the tree in the living room as well. We have already watched Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, The Little Drummer Boy, and The Grinch! I love Christmas time and I love watching the kids get so excited about everything!!!! It even snowed a little bit this morning and the kids were just sooooo amazed!!
Today we took the kids to their 1st Christmas Parade! Preston started out the parade all excited! As soon as he saw the motorcycles he waved and smiled. But as soon as he heard the loud noises, tears just poured down his face!!!! Awe

Kayla kept saying, "This is sooooo much fun!" She loved grabbing the candy the kids on the floats threw. I enjoyed watching the marching bands, but it seemed like every time one got to us they were through playing the music! :( It was still enjoyable watching the color guard. I miss marching in parades. I wore my London shirt to the parade hee hee!
Here is my handful!!!! Preston, Kayla, Kendall, Dalton, and Logan! I take the boys to and from school sometimes and watch Kendall at the house with Preston.

Logan and his Dad Brian! Brian and Chris wrestle and work together! They are like part of our family!!!
